Checkstar Now Now, operated and run by Hypercheck (Pty) Ltd is committed to protecting your personal information in compliance with the Protection of Personal Information Act, 4 of 2013 (POPIA). This Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, disclose, and protect your personal information when you use our services. It is important to us as to how we use your personal information, and we value you as our customer and not to abuse any of your personal information that is entrusted to us.

The processing and handling of any of your personal information is controlled by legislation in South Africa and it is for this reason that the above act was enacted.

POPIA is the acronym for Protection of Personal Information Act, 4 of 2013, this is South Africa’s data protection law that governs how organisations collect, use, store, and protect your personal information which has been entrusted to us as your supplier of goods which you have ordered. It provides you with rights regarding your personal information, including the right to access, correct, and request deletion of your personal information which we value at all times.

At the outset it must be understood that in order for you to use our app we would be required to have some basic information ie and which we are obliged to collect. It is for this reason that we will require, your name, surname, and contact details, the relevant delivery addresses and payment details which will be processed securely via a payment gateway or any other dedicated payment platform, your purchase history and preferences may be collected. Any communication and correspondence with us, your device and usage data for analytics and service improvement and any other information that may be required.

We will use the information that we obtain from you and with your consent to process and deliver your orders , communicate with you regarding your order, promotions and competitions and the necessary support that we may require and improve our services and customer experience that we have promised to you at the best of our ability. We will comply with legal obligations to you as our customer in terms of the POPIA.

It may be necessary for your data to be shared with other interrelated companies within the Hypercheck Group of companies.  This with the intention to provide you with an integrated and efficient service. We will ensure that all such sharing is compliant with POPIA and that your personal information remains protected and is only used for the purposes outlined in this policy and within the confines of POPIA . Any information that is obtained from you will not be sold to third parties.

You have the right to Access your personal information we hold. Request correction or deletion of your personal information. You may object to the processing of your personal information and have the right to lodge a complaint with the Information Regulator. INTER COMPANY DATA USAGE POLICY

This policy outlines the conditions under which Hypercheck (Pty) Ltd and its interrelated companies may share and process personal information within the group in compliance with POPIA.

This policy applies to all personal information shared and processed between Hypercheck and its interrelated companies in South Africa.

Hypercheck (Pty) Ltd may share personal information collected from customers with its interrelated companies within the Hypercheck Group of companies, for Order fulfilment and delivery coordination. Customer support and service improvement for your benefit, marketing communications related to Hypercheck products and their related services and for any compliance purposes.

All sharing will be limited to what is necessary for operational efficiency and service delivery be governed by internal agreements ensuring data protection and POPIA compliance. Ensure personal information is processed in accordance with this policy and the Privacy Policy and always within POPIA .

You have the right to request details on how their information is shared within the group and opt-out of certain marketing communications /Request correction or deletion of their personal information across the group.
